Melissa was a truly inspirational person. Beautiful smile, Fantastic hats and a Wicked laugh.... You touched so many people in such a short time, you always saw the good in everyone... we are all better for knowing you... Thank you... I'm sure you will be keeping an eye on all.... And having a bloody good laugh whilst doing it xxxx Mel's colleagues remember her sitting in the office answering the phones, she was so organised and yet she was fighting her own battle. I asked her why she still came to work and she said she liked the normality of it, I guess that she was just Mel, not a cancer patient or a medical case. She never lost hope, she never let go of her dignity or her humour and she never lost her twinkle. She didnt ask to be treated any differently, and she never felt sorry for herself, she was an inspiration to us all in her braveness. She had many good friends and a family that love her deeply and who will never let her memory fade or be forgotten. This fund is a fitting way to remember Mel and I know that this is how she would like us to remember her, by doing something for the people who took such good care of her.
